Well, we got hounded and hassled and threatened by the people working there and all I really wanted to do was just spend a few hours experiencing the energy of the pyramids for myself. Apparently relaxing in sacred spaces is frowned upon these days.

I wouldn’t recommend it to be honest.

Unless you enjoy being ripped off every few minutes.

Being in Cairo in the middle of a revolution probably wasn’t the best

idea and we came very close to being stabbed by two of the

revolutionairies in the street

Crazy but true. Islamist extremists in New York have infiltrated the planning department and permission has just been given for these for two huge mosques to be erected at ground zero at the end of this year. This picture is a mock up of how the site will look when the work is finished.
